The Filipino Scribe (TFS) is a news, commentary, and public service blog.

This site won the Best Text Blog award from the Philippine Legislators’ Committee for Population and Development Foundation during the 7th Annual Population and Development Media Awards last November 2011 for its series of posts tackling migration, premarital pregnancies, and sex education. It is a national finalist during the 2012 Pinoy Expat/OFW Blog Awards, finishing second out of ten blogs in the online voting.

Started in March 2011, this blog has now received over 2,600,000 in total hits (as of April 2014), with most visitors coming from the Philippines. It has also received at least 1,000 visits from 25 other countries, most notably the United States, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore.

1) Consistently ranked in the top three by Top Blogs Philippines under the “politics and governance” category  and by BlogTopSites.com (politics category)

2) Has been included in WordPress.com’s “Growing Blogs” list several times (#3 last November 29, 2011)

3) Listed as the 5th most viewed WordPress blog worldwide for December 11, 2012 and 13th for November 18, 2013

4) Has been upgraded to its own domain (from www.rightonthemark.wordpress.com to www.FilipinoScribe.com) effective May 11, 2013
