Hillary Clinton will beat Bernie Sanders then Donald Trump for the US presidency
Just like the Philippines, the United States is also having its presidential this year. The two major parties, the ruling Democratic Party and the Republican Party, are still in the process of choosing their respective standard-bearers through primaries and caucuses held across the country. While there are other parties like the Green Party and the Libertarian Party, their impact on the elections are very negligible.
As reported frequently by the international media, the current front runners are Hillary Clinton for the Democrats and Donald Trump for the Republicans. Clinton is a former secretary of state, senator, and first lady. Meanwhile, Trump is a real estate mogul best known for his reality show The Apprentice.
Clinton is up against Vermont Senator Bernie Senator, a self-described democratic socialist, for the Democratic nomination. Between Clinton and Sanders, American Democrats will pick the former. Why? Sanders is too socialist, unrealistic, idealist, and quixotic. He peddles impractical, illusory dreams and abstract, grandiose ideas. For example, he wants to make public colleges and universities tuition-free.
Sanders wants his supporters to believe, not think and to be emotional, not rational. While such proposals appeal strongly to millenials, Americans generally are practical, realistic, sensible, and pragmatic. They also think and rationalize.
Between Clinton and Trump, American voters will again choose the former. Trump is too fascist, dangerous, chauvinistic, and cruel. He peddles domestic chaos and external conflict (for example, he eggs his supporters to punch protesters!). He wants his supporters to fear and hate. Americans, generally, are reasonable and compassionate. They oppose wars and policies when they do not make sense. They protect the weak and support the needy.
I THINK HILLARY CLINTON WILL EVENTUALLY WIN BECAUSE SHE IS THE SAFEST PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF ALL WHEN IT COMES TO INTELLECTUAL PRUDENCE AND POLITICAL JUDGEMENT. THAT IS TOO, BECAUSE AMERICAN VOTERS ARE MOSTLY LEVEL-HEADED PEOPLE.
Before I end, let me list ten other reasons why I don’t see Trump winning the White House:
1) Americans take their right to vote seriously.
2) They prefer cohesion over conflict.
3) Generally they are not gullible.
4) Intellectuals dominate American discourses.
5) Americans choose courage over fear.
6) They think more than they believe.
7) Idiots are restrained and marginalized.
8) The American political class is intelligent.
9) Americans, mostly, are rational not emotional.
10) Their mass media is not for sale.
