Class suspension in Quezon City – July 27 2015
UPDATED, JULY 26 2015
President Benigno Aquino III will deliver his sixth and final State of the Nation Address (SONA) this Monday, July 27, at the House of Representatives.
Because of this, classes in all levels in Quezon City are suspended for the said day. That is according to an announcement made by Mayor Herbert Bautista through social media Saturday night. The class suspension is meant to minimize traffic congestion around Batasan Complex, particular along Commonwealth Avenue.
Prior to Bautista’s announcement, classes in several elementary and high schools in the city’s second, fifth, and sixth districts had already been suspended by the Department of Education for July 27.
