President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. will be delivering his third state of the nation address (SONA) this 22 July 2024, Monday.

The day will begin with the official opening of the third session of the 19th Congress. By the afternoon, both Senators and members of the House of Representatives will have a joint session at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City where Marcos will deliver his third SONA.

Just like in previous years, it is expected that thousands of protesters as well as government security officers will be in the area during the political event.

In connection with this, Mayor Josefina “Joy” Belmonte of Quezon City is expected to announce the suspension of classes for 22 July 2024 covering all levels in both public and private schools. The Filipino Scribe will be updating this post once new information becomes available.
