#WalangPasok – February 13 2024 declared holiday in Parañaque City

Parañaque City will be commemorating its 26th annual foundation day anniversary this coming February 13, Tuesday.
The day has been declared a special non-working holiday in Parañaque City in accordance with Proclamation 461 which President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. signed last week.
Pay Rules For Parañaque City – 13 February 2024
According to the 2023_edition of Department and Labor and Employment’s (DOLE)_Handbook_on_Workers_Statutory_Monetary_Benefits, the “no work, no pay” principle should be in effect during special non-working holidays.
In line with this, workers who are not required or permitted to work on February 13, 2024 in Parañaque City are not entitled to receive any compensation unless there is a collective bargaining agreement or a company policy that implements that.
