#WalangPasok: Class suspensions for 6 September 2023 due to monsoon rains

Despite its distance from the Philippine landmass, tropical depression “Ineng” (international name: Yun-yeung) will still be able to strengthen the southwest monsoon rains being experienced in the western section of the country.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA, “Ineng” was last spotted at 1,020 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon (22.0°N, 131.9°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (KPH) near the center, gustiness of up to 55 KPH, and central pressure of 1002 hPa.
It is moving northeastward at 20 KPH. Its strong winds extend outwards up to 150 km from the center. There are no more storm warning signals raised anywhere in the country.
In line with this, certain local government executives around the country will likely declare class suspensions in their respective areas for 6 September 2023, Wednesday. The Filipino Scribe will be updating this post if and when new information becomes available.
