#WalangPasok – Class suspensions for 5 September 2023 due to monsoon rains
(UPDATED as 12:30 AM of 5 SEPTEMBER 2023)
Despite the exit of typhoon “Hanna” (international name: Haikui) from the Philippine area of responsibility this morning, wide portions of the Philippines are still experiencing southwest monsoon rains as reported by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration or PAGASA.
The weather bureau also projected that the western section of Luzon and Visayas will continue to have inclement weather until Wednesday, even though there are no more storm warning signals raised anywhere in the country. According to the forecast, “Hanna” will proceed to southern China after making landfall in Taiwan.
In line with this, certain local government executives around the country will likely declare class suspensions in their respective areas for 5 September 2023, Tuesday.
