#WalangPasok – Class suspensions for 28 July 2023 due to typhoon “Egay”

With the exit of typhoon “Egay” (international name: Doksuri) from the Philippine area of responsibility this Thursday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration has lifted all remaining storm warning signals that it previously raised.
Nevertheless, the state weather bureau warned that “Egay” will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon rains experienced over the western portions of Northern and Central Luzon and Southern Luzon for three more days. “Egay” is now headed for China.
In connection with this, local government executives around the Philippines are still expected to announce class suspensions for 28 July 2023, Friday.

REMINDER TO COLLEGE STUDENTS:
According to the Commission on Higher Education’s Memorandum Order #15 series of 2012, “students who are unable to report to class or participate in scheduled activities such as exams due to inclement weather shall be given consideration and be allowed to make up for the missed class or activity.” This must be the case especially during instances where the local government executive did not announce suspension of classes.
