#WalangPasok – No classes on 24 July 2023 for Marcos’ second SONA

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. will be delivering his second state of the nation address (SONA) this 24 July 2023, Monday.

The day will begin with the official opening of the second session of the 19th Congress. By the afternoon, both Senators and members of the House of Representatives will have a joint session at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City where Marcos will deliver his second SONA.

Just like in previous years, it is expected that thousands of protesters as well as government security officers will be in the area during the political event.

In connection with this, Mayor Josefina “Joy” Belmonte of Quezon City has announced the suspension of classes for 24 July 2023 covering all levels in both public and private schools.
