#Paris2024: History made as gymnast Carlos Yulo wins gold in men’s floor exercises

Gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo won the gold medal in the finals of the men’s floor exercise of the 2024 Paris Olympics – earning the Philippines’ first-ever medal during this quadrennial event.

Artem Dolgopyat of Israel and Jake Jarman of Great Britain took the silver and bronze medals, respectively. Interestingly, Yulo has a chance to win another medal for the country during the finals of the men’s vault competition set for 10:00 PM of August 4 (Paris time).

So many had been second-guessing Carlos Yulo’s professional life in recent months, especially since parting ways with his former coach from Japan and the accusation that he is spending too much time with his girlfriend.
Today, he became the first-ever Filipino gymnast to win a medal in Olympic history.
