#WalangPasok – Class suspensions for April 15 2024
UPDATED as of 10:10 PM, 14 April 2024
The Department of Education (DepEd) has announced that all public schools nationwide shall implement asynchronous classes or distance learning for April 15 (Monday) and 16 (Tuesday).
According to DepEd, this is being done to “allow learners to complete pending assignments, projects, and other requirements as the end of school year is fast-approaching.” The agency however added that private schools are not included in this announcement though they can also implement this as they see fit.
DepEd curiously did not note in its announcement that the members of transport groups Malayang Alyansa ng Bus Employees at Laborers (MANIBELA) and Pagkakaisa ng mga Samahan ng Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (PISTON) will be organizing a strike on April 15 and 16 to once again reiterate their opposition to the government’s plan to modernize the public utility vehicles.
The Filipino Scribe will be updating this post if and when other local government units and education institutions make similar announcements for 15 April 2024.
UP TO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL:
