Will March 11 2024 be declared a holiday?
The National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) Bureau of Muslim Cultural Affairs announced that the commemoration of the Holy Month of Ramadan in the Philippines would start this March 11, Monday.
The start day of the Ramadan season is not a special non-holiday since it is not listed as such in President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s Proclamation 368 from 2023. It is also not listed as one of the recognized legal Muslim holidays in the country according to the late former President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.’s Presidential Decree 1083.
Nevertheless, The Filipino Scribe would be updating this post in case additional information becomes available.
