DepEd releases official calendar for school year 2024-2025

The Department of Education (DepEd) has announced that school year 2024-2025 for public elementary and high schools throughout the Philippines will officially open on 29 July 2024, Monday. It will end by 16 May 2025, inclusive of the end of school year rites.

This is outlined in Vice President and Concurrent Education Sara Duterte’s Department Order No. 3-2024 which was released February 19.

Below are some of the relevant information regarding school year 2024-2025 so far. The entire document can be accessed here.

1) Public shool teachers should not be made to report for work throughout June 2024.

2) Brigada Eskwela will run from July 22 to 27, 2024.
