#WalangPasok – Class suspensions for October 20 2023
Residents in at least three local government units around the country will have a three-day weekend with October 20, Friday, declared a special non-working holiday in their respective areas.
As previously reported in The Filipino Scribe, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. has signed Proclamation 350 which declared October 20 as a special non-working holiday in Negros Oriental to give way for the celebration of Buglasan Festival.
Marcos also signed Proclamation 360 which made the same day a special non-working holiday in Angeles City, Pampanga to give way for the celebration of the Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan Festival 2023.
Lastly, Republic Act 1745 mandates that October 20 of every year be a holiday in the province of Leyte in commemoration of the Battle of Leyte Gulf. The Filipino Scribe will be updating this post if other local government executives will be announcing class suspensions in their jurisdictions for that day.
