National Science Club Month theme for 2023: TIMELAPSE: Accentuating the Eras of Science Clubbing
UPDATE, 6 SEPTEMBER 2023:
Schools around the country will be celebrating the annual National Science Club Month (NSCM) this September 2023. According to the Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs or PSYSC, the official theme for this year’s celebration is “TIMELAPSE: Accentuating the Eras of Science Clubbing.”
“This year, NSCM will be about giving back to the society and reminiscing the past journeys we’ve had. Dive deep down into memory lane as we amplify our advancements. Come join us as we ride the wave of knowledge, uncover the secrets of momentum, and be a part of something truly inspiring,” the PSYSC explained in a Facebook post.
With the restrictions previously imposed in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic now largely lifted, it is almost certain that schools across the country will be able to hold their science month activities like on-site essay writing and poster making contests.
September was first declared as “Science Month” via President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s Proclamation 264, which she signed in 2002.
In the proclamation, Arroyo said that science clubbing movement and network is “a significant educational tool to encourage and inspire the youth and students to pursue careers in science and technology.”
