#WalangPasok – Class suspensions for 14 July 2023 due to tropical depression “Dodong”

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported late Thursday night that the low pressure area spotted east of Aurora province has developed into tropical depression “Dodong.”
“Dodong” is expected to intensify the monsoon rains being experienced in much of Luzon, including Metro Manila. According to PAGASA, the said tropical depression carries maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (KPH), with gustiness of up to 55 KPH, and central pressure of 1000 hPa. It is moving north northwestward at 20 KPH, with strong winds extending outwards up to 180 kilometers from the center.
As of 2:00 AM of July 14, PAGASA has raised signal number 1 over the following areas:
*Cagayan
*Isabela
*Quirino
*Nueva Vizcaya
*Apayao
*Kalinga
*Abra
*Mountain Province
*Ifugao
*Benguet
*Ilocos Norte
*Ilocos Sur
*La Union
*Northern portion of Pangasinan (San Nicolas, San Manuel, Sison, San Fabian, Pozorrubio, Bolinao, Bani, City of Alaminos, Sual, Labrador, Lingayen, Agno, Binmaley, Dagupan City, San Jacinto, Mangaldan, Anda)
*Northern and central portions of Aurora (Maria Aurora, San Luis, Baler, Dipaculao, Dinalungan, Casiguran, Dilasag)
*Northern and eastern portions of Polillo Islands (Panukulan, Burdeos, Patnanungan, Jomalig)
According to Department of Education order #37 series of 2022 signed by Vice President and concurrent Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio, both in-person and online classes as well as work in schools situated in local government units where a storm warning signal has been raised.
