#WalangPasok – Class suspensions for June 14 2018
Local government units (LGUs) in several areas in Luzon have announced the suspension of classes in their respective constituencies for today, June 14, because of inclement weather caused by the southwest monsoon or habagat. Some LGUs began the announcement of class suspensions as early as Wednesday night.
In its weather forecast released 2:00 AM, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration placed Batangas and Cavite under the orange rainfall warning while the yellow rainfall warning was raised over Metro Manila, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Rizal. It can be recalled that the intensified monsoon rains began over the weekend as a result of typhoon “Domeng” (international code name “Maliksi”).
