Merry Christmas from The Filipino Scribe!
In less than three hours, we will be celebrating Christmas 2017! I wish all readers of The Filipino Scribe (TFS) a blessed holiday season. I hope you are all enjoying these days with the people who matter the most in your lives.
TFS has been on an unofficial hiatus for the past two weeks. As a solo project, my ability to write new content for this website is dependent on the availability of time for me. And sadly, end-of-semester teacher duties like checking of student papers and grades computation has consumed me prior to this weekend.
Anyhow, I hope to be able to produce as much new articles as possible within the next three weeks that I am on a break. There is so much to write about like the tax reform law and the extension of the martial law in Mindanao, and I am determined to make it up to my readers.
At this point, please allow me to sneak in some personal reflections on this holiday season. Instead of still making any wishes, I would just like to share how grateful I am for all the blessings this 2017.
That includes getting a teaching position in one of the country’s top universities, winning two writing recognitions, as well as earning my teaching license. TFS also reached the 10 million page views milestone last July. Heck, 2018 must be a bigger year for me!
Before I end this, let me say: Thank you so much for staying connected with me through the years. Thanks for enduring my daily blizzard of posts ranging from political commentaries, news updates, work anecdotes, and yes – love hugots!
Once more, Merry Christmas to everybody!
