‘Laban ng Lahi’ 2017 nationwide qualifying tournament set for August 27
A nationwide qualifying tournament for the highly-anticipated ‘Laban ng Lahi’ 2017 18-kilometer international marathon challenge is set to be held this August 27, Sunday.
Participating teams in the qualifying tournament will have to go through a rigorous 10-kilometer run. This will be conducted simultaneously in different parts of the Philippines namely Laoag City and Baguio City for Northern Luzon; San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, Clark, Pampanga, and Subic, Zambales for Central Luzon; Taguig City in Metro Manila; Camarines Sur in Bicol Region, Boracay Island and Cebu for Visayas, and Cagayan de Oro City, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Davao City, and General Santos City for Mindanao. Meanwhile, three overseas locations have also been selected: Hong Kong, South Korea, and Thailand.

Men’s Category
1st Prize – P25,000
2nd Prize – P12,000
3rd prize – P7,000
4th to 10th prize – P2,000
Women’s Category
1st Prize – P25,000
2nd Prize – P12,000
3rd prize – P7,000
4th to 10th prize – P2,000
The team that will finish first in each location of the qualifying tournament will automatically advance to the “Laban ng Lahi 2017” grand international marathon to be held in Barangay La Union, Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte beginning this September 10. Meanwhile, teams that will finish second, third, fourth, and fifth will be on stand-by and might be eventually be able to participate depending on the availability of sponsorships.
The registration fee per participant is P450. It will cover one racing rib, a singlet, a light meal, as well as raffle tickets. Payments can be made through:
