Is November 2 2016 a declared holiday in the Philippines?

As noted in a previous post, October 31 (Monday) and November 1 (Tuesday) have been declared as special non-working holidays as stupulated in former President Benigno Aquino III’s Proclamation 1105 in connection to the observance of All Saints Day or Undas.

Now, many are asking if President Rodrigo Duterte will declare November 2 as an additional special non-working holiday. November 2, which this year falls on Wednesday, is regarded as All Souls Day. If Duterte makes such an announcement, then Filipinos will have a five-day weekend, which is certainly good news for many people including government and private sector employees as well as students.

This post will be updated if and when new information becomes available.
