Former Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago will be brought to her final resting place on October 2, Sunday, at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City. This is in fulfillment of her wish to be buried next to her late son Alexander, who died in 2003. Santiago succumbed to complications due to lung cancer Thursday morning. She was 71.
