RnB Prince JayR back with his new album “Elevated”
Loyal fans of RnB prince Jay-R will have something to cheer about again as the the veteran crooner launched his new album courtesy of his own music label, Homeworkz Records.
He talked about his latest albums during a recent bloggers conference (more like a mini-concert, actually!) organized by Homeworkz in Treehouse Bar and Resto in Makati City. JayR and Salbakuta’s other label-mates also performed that night including the rap duo Q-York, and singers Glaiza de Castro, Franceska Farr, Deejay Poblete, and Mica Javier.
The RnB Prince, who is now one of the contestants in the ABS-CBN reality show Your Face Sounds Familiar, first entered the Philippine music scene in 2003 with his debut album “Game Face” and his massive hit “Bakit Pa Ba?”
In the years that followed, JayR bagged a long list of awards, , and accolades as well as commercial endorsements. He also engaged in businesses (he is one of the owners of Treehouse).
According to him, he is very thankful on how the past twelve years turned out for him. “I am very proud! Mind you, I am now in a stage where I can help other talented artists move forward,” he told The Filipino Scribe. He also shared that he wrote 80% of the songs in “Elevated.”
Given all his past accomplishments, what else does Jay-R want to achieve within the next few years? “I want Homeworkz to be the biggest music label in the Philippines!” he unabashedly said.
