WATCH IT HERE: Manny Pacquiao meets Floyd Mayweather, finally
Two of the world’s best known boxers in this generation, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., finally crossed paths Wednesday morning (Manila time).
Their brief encounter however did not happen inside the boxing ring but during the halftime of an NBA game between Miami Heat and the visiting Milwaukee Bucks at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.
The two fighters were both seated in the court side but on opposite sides, directly facing each other.
During the first half of the game, game spectators were shown a photo of Pacquiao side-by-side with Mayweather with the caption “Coming in 2015?,” a direct reference to the ongoing negotiations about a possible megafight between the two this May.
According to Fox Sports, Mayweather approached Pacquiao during the halftime break. “The men shook hands and chatted briefly, then exchanged phone numbers,” the report says.
Vine user @iRepTeamHEAT was able to take a five-second clip of Pacquiao’s interaction with Mayweather.
