Class suspensions today, July 21 2012, due to Typhoon Ferdie

Saturday classes in several schools in Metro Manila due to heavy rains brought by Typhoon Ferdie and the high risk of flooding. They are the following following (NOTE: the list is being updated as soon as new information becomes available):

  • University of Sto. Tomas (UST)
  • University of the Philippines (UP) Manila
  • National University (NU)
  • University of the East (UE)
  • Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) – ALL CAMPUSES
  • Arellano University
  • Far Eastern University (FEU) Manila, FEU EAC & FEU Makati
  • San Beda College of Law; San Beda CAS
  • De La Salle College-College of Saint Benilde
  • De La Salle University Taft, Makati, Ortigas Extension
  • Philippine Christian University – College of Law
  • Centro Escolar University (CEU) in Mendiola
  • Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Intramuros, Manila

Pasay, Mandaluyong, and Marikina Cities all announced the suspension of classes in public and private schools in their respective turfs, GMA News has reported. It also listed the suspension of classes in the following schools:

Philippine Women’s University

Mapua Institute of Technology (Makati and Manila campuses)

Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila

Ateneo de Manila University

University of Asia and the Pacific

ADVISORY: UAAP, NCAA suspend Saturday games (from the Philippine Daily Inquirer)

Other schools that suspended classes:

Technological University of the Philippines (TUP)

Lyceum Philippines (Manila)

Philippine College of Criminology

St. Scholastica’s College

Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP)

IMPORTANT: UP Diliman Chancellor Caesar Saloma has not made any announcement yet about the cancellation of classes. (Question: Is he already awake? 🙂 )
