Breaking News: UP Diliman suspends classes for August 2, finally
Breaking news – I got this message from Twitter:
To UP admin: Thank you very much for your very timely announcement! Next time, 5PM naman kayo mag-anunsyo para hindi masyadong hassle sa mga estudyante.
Just like last week, it was Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa again who announced the class suspension for tertiary levels. He also ordered the cancellation of work in government offices effective this afternoon.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN (http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/nation/metro-manila/08/01/11/deped-suspends-classes-metro-manila) has reported earlier that the following universities have suspended their classes even before Ochoa made the announcement:
University of Santo Tomas (UST) – not surprising…
Polytechnic University of the Philippines (Metro Manila campuses) – at least hindi dahil sa radioactive rain…
St. Paul University in Quezon City – binabaha ba doon?
San Sebastian College in Recto – major Manila thoroughfares easily gets flooded, understandable..
Great Ways Tech. Institute Makati – I don’t know this school 😛
Samson College – ‘K
As of 9:30 AM, ABS-CBN has updated this list to include:
* Technological University of the Philippines
* Philippine Normal University
* New Era University
* Angelicum College
* Philippine State College of Aeronautics
* Rizal Technological University
* Arellano University (all campuses), except for the College of Law
* St. Mary’s College, Quezon City
* University of the Philippines – Manila
* Informatics College – Manila
